Spectrum extends Cloudflare's DDoS protection and performance optimization to any TCP and UDP applications, not just HTTP/HTTPS. The system protects game servers (Minecraft, Counter-Strike), VoIP (SIP, RTP), email (SMTP, IMAP), SSH, databases, and other protocols against volumetric and application-layer attacks. Anycast routing directs traffic to the nearest data center, reducing latency and improving performance. Protection covers all ports from 1 to 65535.
